Francesca Yorke is a photographer working between London and Santa Fe. Well known for her food images, she presents a wide range of subjects such as Flower, Places, Cowboy, Fight, Animal, Cemetary.

Francesca Yorke was born in the UK and grew up in London, she shoots photo features, book projects and pursues her personal works as a fine art photographer. Francesca studied Fine Art at St Martins School of Art and graduated with an Honors degree in Photography & Film at The University of the Arts, London. Francesca now spends more time on fine art photography and has shown work at the Photographer’s Gallery in London as well as selling work directly to clients worldwide. Later this year she will be teaching garden, travel and reportage courses in the US and Mexico for the renowned Santa Fe Photographic Workshops.

Wondering around on the great web, I found a serie of Elizaveta Prodina. The Gold Project, a series of photos in which she photographs her friends covered in gold paint symbolizing the quality and power of their friendship. This concept is also derived from her desire to create an alternate and unearthly civilization.

Both of her inspirations are conceptually intriguing but I could see more ways that they would be executed poorly than well. In her case, I feel she has done a beautifully job linking her concept with the final works. The work feels surreal.
